Quentin Destieu
Quentin Destieu, artist and director of the M2F association and Gamerz Festival in Aix-en-Provence, will make a presentation of the projects developed by the association and the Dardex art group. The Association's activities: artistic production, training and diffusion. M2F Créations' Lab: 3D scan, 3D printing, electronics and computing, stereoscopic video, pepper gost hologram, introduction to digital art for highschool pupils, workshops for students, artist residencies and production of artistic installations, participation to European projects, international multimedia art festival GAMERZ. The Gamerz Festival proposes contemporary artistic productions that question and testify of the evolutions of our ultra-technologized society. The Dardex Collective was founded in 2003 by Quentin Destieu and Sylvain Huguet, when they were both art students at the Art School of Aix-en-Provence. Exploring the uses of contemporary media, they collaborate with various artists and researchers on multimedia performances and installations using interactivity and games. Their artistic approach is based on the ideas of appropriation and diversion of existing materials.
Their work questions with sarcasm a media and technology-saturated world, exploring the borders and relations between technology and pop culture. Dardex' work is regularly exhibited in France and abroad.
